The world has become increasingly connected, with organisations and individuals harnessing the potential and enjoying the benefits of digital capabilities. However, the use of cyber space is not without its challenges and while security measures help to prevent a cyber attack from occurring, there is no such thing as zero risk.
Our resiliency measures work to ensure that if a cyber-attack does occur, disruption is minimised, so organisations and their customers maintain access to their critical systems and information, without losing operational performance.
It’s for this reason that over 400 major customers around the world rely on Thales to watch over their critical information systems and cyber security; trusting in our knowledge of complex systems engineering, safety and security to bring a depth of understanding and added value that you won’t find anywhere else.

What is the difference between cyber resilience and cyber security?Simply put, cyber security works to minimise the opportunities for a cyber-attack to occur and attempts to keep assailants out. Resiliency relates to putting measures in place so that you can effectively identify, respond and recover should an attacker manage to breach your cyber defences. With resilience in place, transport links will still safely operate even if an attacker compromises an air, sea, road or rail traffic management system and products will continue to move down the assembly line even if a factory’s cyber defences are penetrated. |
Whether looking to meet new security needs in existing systems, developing tomorrow’s products with security-by-design, or exploring how connected ecosystems of the future can be built with resiliency, we work in partnership with our customers to solve their complex cyber security challenges allowing them to reap the benefits of the digital world.
