Our
Miniature Intrusion Sensor (MIS) is a next generation buried passive ground
sensor, designed to provide users with an easy to deploy, lightweight system
for securing an area or perimeter over short-medium duration operations. The
MIS units are considerably smaller and lighter than conventional seismic ground
sensor capabilities, and provide superior detection and False Alarm rate
performance over other systems.
Originally
developed for the defence industry, MIS has a diverse range of applications
across defence, security forces, urban response units, CNI and enterprise
businesses. It can be used anywhere where an area needs to be secured, and
where accurate detection and classification of perimeter cross is required.
This could be anything from protecting an oil pipeline through to simple
perimeter protection of a remote building. The MIS uses seismic detection
algorithms to accurately detect and classify people and vehicles, before
transmitting an alert message to a personal monitor or local gateway to a wider
system. In addition to this the MIS can
be used to trigger other security systems, including security cameras or other
remotely operated systems.
MIS
utilises advanced algorithms in order to reduce false alarms by ignoring
unwanted targets such as animals, wind-blown debris etc. Further False Alarm
reduction can be achieved by the use of peripheral sensors (e.g. PIRs, Magnetic
sensors), which can plug into the MIS unit.
The MIS
system is based around a robust, self-forming mesh network infrastructure,
which supports a wide range of deployment options. This feature this helps make
this a robust, flexible, cost effective capability ensuring you get a solution
which provides significant added value throughout it’s lifecycle.
Key Benefits
