ISTAR MSS provides for the timely production of digital maps, which are loaded into aircraft prior to a Sea King mission.
MSS has the capacity to learn operator actions as scripts in order to minimise map production time. The scripts may be replayed on new map and overlay data to automatically produce up-to-date downloads for the aircraft. Download files containing incremental updates can be produced to minimize the time taken to load aircraft radar equipment.
