Overview
It is based on the combat-proven AN/PRC-148 MBITR - same features and functionality. It is seamless, low-risk upgrade from the AN/PRC-148 MBITR, powerful SCA-certified platform that allows inclusion of new JTRS waveforms.
It successfully completed US government testing, evoluation and certification. It is the only SCA-certified JTRS radio endorsed by the US National Security Agency (NSA) for Type I encryption. Its programmable INFOSEC enables interoperability with a full range of legacy systems and allows for non-Type I or exportable INFOSEC implementations.
