CANSEC is Canada’s premier defence trade show with over 11,000  square meters of exhibition floor space, 11,000 registered delegates, over 330 exhibiting companies and 30 nations in attendance.

Thales was one of the most admired exhibitor booths at CANSEC this year, with a brand new 180 sqm installation showcasing products and capabilities from DMS/TNL, DMS/TUS, LAS/TNL, TDSI, DMS/UK, LAS/UK, and DMS/Canada and SIX/Canada. (Land Operations, Maritime Safety & Security Operations, Naval Defence Operations including under water systems).

Thales’ main objectives at CANSEC are to confirm that we are a key partner for Canada’s Armed Forces by promoting Thales’ longstanding presence in Canada, reinforce Thales’ image as a key innovative player as well as support our main on-going bids, and develop contracts / agreements / cooperation projects.

The equipment displays focused on Thales’ Army and Navy capabilities, current programs in execution, as well as future programs, including: Canadian Surface Combattant, RCN & Canadian Coast Guard/NSPS work, and security products developed by Thales Canada TRT. They attracted many visitors from various government agencies and foreign nation delegations.

Thales was co-sponsoring the breakfast on 28 May (Day 2) with Seaspan, and Mark Halinaty, President and CEO, Thales Canada Inc. delivered the speech to introduce the Hon. James Moore, minister of Industry.
