ViVaTech Tour stops in Montreal and highlights cortAIx and AI
VivaTech is the world's rendezvous for startups and leaders to celebrate innovation. On February 1st, WeWork Montreal hosted the VivaTech Worldwide Tour, co-organized by La French Tech. Christophe Muratet, Director Innovation & Design Centre, Thales Research & Technology Canada was featured at the event where he discussed open innovation to an audience of over 100 attendees.
Thales was invited by Viva Tech and La French Tech alongside two hot start-ups hosted by WeWork Montreal.
Christophe started by reminding the audience of Thales’ extensive innovation footprint in Canada and introduced cortAIx as a key link in the local innovation value chain for digital business growth. Artificial intelligence, commodity and disruptive innovation along with digital ways of working (Design thinking, lean startup, agile) were also highlighted.
Christophe concluded by participating in a Q&A with young entrepreneurs on stage with Patrice Chesse, Professor in entrepreneurship at HEC Montreal, cofounder of a MakerSpace & TechShop in entrepreneurship in Montreal and expert in innovation and creativity and design thinking.
"The technology push has always been a lever for growth. Today, technology grows faster than ever, established companies need to adapt to this new environment. In term of innovation, startups bring 4V: Volume, Velocity, Variety, ... and Veracity. A superb catalyst for corporate innovation”.
