Introducing our new T Level placements

In 2024, we are introducing T Level placements in partnership with Yeovil College and Crawley College, combining academic study and practical experience, further reinforcing our commitment to building a skilled workforce.

Thales will be running a pilot at our site in West Sussex, Crawley, offering four placements for Foundation T Level students and two placements for the full T Level.

In addition, Thales have already offered two placements at our South West site in Templecombe, in partnership with Yeovil College.

T Levels are an alternative to A Levels and other Level 3 academic routes. They combine a vocational qualification, with a 45 day work placement, which allows 16-19 year olds to apply new skills in a real life environment. Our placement students will be working in the manufacturing part of the business, alongside our experienced managers, apprentices and apprentice alumni. We hope they may wish to join us as apprentices themselves, on completion of their T Levels at college.
