Bachelor of Engineering in Practical Informatics transfer real-world processes to computer systems by translating the task into suitable models and then mapping them onto software systems. The variety of possible applications is almost unlimited and is constantly increasing with the increasing performance of the systems.
Your tasks are very versatile and varied: You design and implement practical computer science projects in Germany and abroad. The focus is on economic and consulting-specific aspects, for which you will apply the knowledge of theoretical, technical and practical computer science acquired during your studies.
Further focal points are project management, web engineering, network technology and databases, as well as the consolidation of specific contents such as graphic data processing, multimedia technology and hardware-related programming.Which fields of activity are relevant for you?

What qualifications do you need to have?
- General university entrance qualification ("A levels") or corresponding subject-related university entrance qualification
- Basic understanding of mathematics and the natural sciences
- Logical-analytical thinking
- Ability to abstract and to recognize and formulate technical correlations
- Confident handling of computers and modern software
- Good knowledge of German (C1 level) and English
