Amiral Technologies

Grenoble-based Amiral Technologies was founded in May 2018, to address growing needs in the field of industrial predictive maintenance.

Its technology works on industrial machinery, first capturing a broad range of signals (electrical currents, vibrations, temperature) and transforming them into a set of indicators that reveal what shape the machinery is in. The technology’s capacity to register and process weak, temporary or unconnected signals creates a far more detailed picture of the machinery’s condition than was previously possible. In the second phase of the process, which is based on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), algorithms analyse the indicators in order to build an effective operation model. The amount of indicators generated allows the AI to recognise – through deviations from the model – whether the machinery is operating correctly, or whether it is malfunctioning, ageing or even approaching the end of its life-cycle. It can then make a decision on the relevant maintenance or repairs.

Things are moving forward for Amiral, which joined the Station F startup campus in Paris last September. It has also begun a burgeoning relationship with Thales, and is working on a case study with Thales teams in Bordeaux, with a view to launching a Proof of Concept. CEO Katia Hilal hopes that VivaTech 2019 will provide Amiral with opportunities to meet and network with other Thales teams, and to introduce its technologies to new potential partners and investors.
