Another great day at LIMA’19
It was an eventful day at LIMA’19 with various delegations and key government figureheads visiting our booth.
Day two began with our very own Senior Executive Vice President, Madame Pascale Sourisse being interviewed by local Malaysian tv news channel, Astro Awani. Pascale shared Thales’ ongoing projects and developments in Malaysia, in the areas of defence and aerospace, as well as future plans in line with supporting the country’s digital ambition in the near future.
We were honoured to have the Crown Prince of Kedah, Tunku Sarafuddin Badlishah grace us with his presence at our booth. During which time, we briefly shared with His Royal Highness an overview of Thales presence in Malaysia and our efforts in supporting the various industries, before giving him a tour of our booth. Before leaving, His Royal Highness was presented with a token of appreciation for visiting our booth.
Timor Leste’s Minister of Defence Francisco Guterres Lú Olo, also dropped by our booth to take a look at our civil and military solutions on display.
The day ended with a final visit from the Malaysian Minister of Defence, Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, also known as Mat Sabu. During his visit we took Mat Sabu around the booth to show him the different solutions in the areas of defence and surveillance that Thales has to offer. Before leaving, we presented Mat Sabu with a plaque to commemorate and demonstrate our appreciation for over 40 years of successful cooperation between the Malaysian Ministry of Defence and Thales.
We’re halfway through LIMA and its been great so far! If you haven’t already seen us, come by our booth at B492 to find out more about Thales’ solutions.
