Thales in the UK makes great engineers. With the 2017 Engineering UK report revealing that we’re likely to need 265,000 people with engineering skills each year until 2024, we know that some of our wisest investments are in the upcoming generation.

The historic change on the horizon for the UK will require many more qualified engineers to join the workforce over the next decade. Our role is to support and develop the next wave of talent within our industry.
Thales Group - Stem - Lighting the Way

STEM: Lighting the way for young people

At Thales in the UK, we’re passionate about science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). We want to inspire young people to engage in these fascinating subjects, not just for their own educational development, but for the future of the UK.

People often assume STEM is for the schoolroom. We know it’s not. We’re on a mission to show future generations how important STEM is in our daily lives, and what exciting career prospects it can open up.

We’re developing tools and information for young people, and wherever possible we’re opening up opportunities for them to gain critical skills and knowledge about our industry and the options available to them.

Discover more about how we’re reaching out to young people by visiting our dedicated STEM and outreach page below.
