SafeDialTM + allows home based and traveling workers to use email, web services and file transfers securely. Housed in a tamper resistant PCMCIA package the SafeDial+ utilises hardware based encryption algorithms to provide a secure connection to your central site network via broadband, dial-up, ISDN and even GSM mobile phones.

Once installed SafeDialTM + requires only a password for normal operation. Unique session keys are generated automatically each time SafeDialTM + is used eliminating time consuming key creation, updating and distribution tasks. SafeDialTM + has been approved for UK Government enhanced grade use by CESG under their CAPS approval scheme.
At present SafeDialTM+ is only available to customers in the United Kingdom.

The SafePort+ Desktop is an intelligent adapter for the Thales SafeDial+. It allows connection of a Thales SafeDial+ card to any RS232 PC compatible serial port via the serial adapter.
SafePort+ Desktop uses the latest RISC microprocessor technology to provide a compact, effective and reliable connection of the Thales SafeDial+ card to a PC or other terminal equipment via the RS232 port. The SafePort+ is extremely easy to use and is supplied with everything you need to connect your SafeDial+ including a dc power supply, a serial cable and an RS232 port adapter.
The unit automatically detects the insertion of the PC card, and once satisfied that a valid SafeDial+ card is inserted will allow "AT" commands to be transferred transparent to the serial adapter. The serial adapter handles data rates up to and including 230400 bit/s.

A 16-port rack version is available for central site installations.
