Thales announces the delivery of 52 tetrodes for the ESS project

Thales, being one of the main suppliers for the ESS RF amplifiers, has now delivered on-time 52 grid tubes and sockets for the Spoke section Transmitters, manufactured in Italy. The 352MHz solutions provided by Thales are the technology of choice to power this proton linac section.
Bringing together the firepower and resources of 17 countries, the European Spallation Source (ESS) is a world-class infrastructure for research in materials and life sciences. The ESS project will benefit from between 2000 and 3000 researchers from around the world each year.
Thales is proud to be providing those tetrodes, following the ESS High Beta 704MHz sources.
