Innovate your systems with our ThereSIS R&D lab

Developing new systems to meet your future needs

Disruptive technologies are emerging on the market faster and more frequently than ever before. As a result, you increasingly find that even recently deployed information systems do not reflect state-of-the-art technologies.

Our Thales European Research Centre for Security & Information Systems (ThereSIS) is dedicated to developing cutting-edge solutions for our clients. We develop and implement differentiating technologies to minimise the risk of being outstripped by future technologies. We are committed to rapid prototyping and collaborative design.

Nine technology areas feed business platforms with innovation

Research at ThereSIS is grouped around the following key areas:

  • Cybersecurity: advanced visualisation techniques and statistical methods detect any abnormal behaviours in real time
  • Data value and big analytics: interactive dashboards and advanced algorithms collect, contextualise, mine and monitor Big data
  • Video analysis: real-time, scalable video analytics based on human brain patterns monitor crowds and recognise objects intelligently
  • Networking: optimised resiliency and security for upcoming 5G radio and software-defined networks
  • Smart systems: intelligent transportation solutions for smart cities through mobility simulation
  • Biometric simulation: virtual and augmented realities, including the simulation of human behaviour, train operators and provide decision support
  • Application security: agile mechanisms help monitor and control information systems
  • Cloud computing: flexible and secure hybrid cloud environments provide dynamic configuration, automated provisioning and resource orchestration
  • Real time and embedded: software architectures with heterogeneous solutions master safety concerns and introduce flexibility
