Thales is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions for commercial, business and regional aviation, as well as for helicopter and military operators.
In the field of Flight Avionics, Thales Australia operates an Avionics Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility, and delivers various maintenance services in support of existing programs out of our Service Hub in Rydalmere, Western Sydney, NSW. The facility consists of a core support team of highly skilled technicians, occupying a large space of roughly 650 square meters, with the facility ITAR and Treaty controlled.
Current products supported include a variety of equipment on-board the Multi-Role Helicopter (MRH90) Taipan and Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) Tiger military aircraft in service with the Australian Defence Force, along with engineering and repair support for the existing Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS). Thales also supports the New Zealand Defence Force through the support and maintenance of Avionics components.
In the civilian domain, Thales Australia works with Airlines and Airbus Helicopter Operators in the Pacific region to offer them support and services for avionics components which include:

In addition to the maintenance and support of in-service components, Thales Australia is also involved in the design, development and integration of upgrades and retrofits for the aviation industry across both military and civil platforms. Thales is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for a wide variety of avionics components including Helmet Mounted Displays, transponders, flight control systems, datalinks, navigation systems, electronic warfare capabilities and flight management systems.
