A Day in the Life... Daniel Green

Dan joined Thales as a business graduate in 2012 and joined the Services team earlier this year. He's worked in Glasgow, Crawley and now works in Basingstoke.

"I have recently joined the Services team which works with each of the UK business units to support and develop the growth of Services. It is a busy time and I have been involved with lots of interesting projects.

"As my job involves working with the different business units, I get the chance to attend meetings at different sites, often spending time at Crawley or Weybridge and I have even spent a few days in Paris.

"On a normal day when I’m in Basingstoke, I like to start my day early and focus on multiple projects of which I have responsibility for completing. I try to plan my week in advance although new tasks often come up changing my priorities. It’s important that I therefore manage my time effectively to make sure everything gets done. However there are lots of great people at Thales who are willing to help with any issues I have.

"Alongside my role, I have had the opportunity to work on a couple of projects with the Emerging Talent Team. This has included being on the committee for organising this year’s Annual Graduate Conference (AGC) and being part of the team producing GradMail!

"There are plenty of projects to get involved with outside of the day to day job which are very beneficial in terms of networking and experience. I have met some great people and learnt a lot over the past two years.

My favourite moment so far has been winning the Scottish Association of Project Management (APM) competition on behalf of Thales with other graduates, where we ran an innovative project raising money for the Alzheimer’s charity."
