Publication: ETCS - The successful commissioning of the Red Line in Thailand

The technical advantages of the European Train Control System (ETCS) has led to its successful establishment outside Europe. Amongst other projects, the Red Line in Thailand trusts on ETCS to improve the urban rapid transit system in the Bangkok metropolitan area. The Red Line comprises two elevated lines from Bangkok’s newly built Bang Sue Grand Station, which was designed for up to 624,000 passengers per day.
