Thales Alenia Space and Maxar Technologies’ SSL Form Consortium to Further Design and Develop Telesat’s LEO Satellite Constellation
Telesat has selected consortium to participate in its LEO system ‘design phase’
REVOLVE is being developed through the European research program Horizon 2020. It is coordinated by Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, and organized around a manufacturer, namely Thales Alenia Space.
Cannes, May 23rd, 2018 - The sixth batch of Iridium® NEXT satellites built by Thales Alenia Space has been successfully launched by SpaceX from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The success of this sixth launch for the Iridium® NEXT program further solidifies the company’s reputation for excelled expertise as prime contractor for sophisticated satellite communications (SATCOM) systems.
Critical design review successfully achieved
Bangabandhu Satellite-1 was successfully launched on May 11th 2018 by SpaceX.
May 4th 2018 - Bangabandhu Satellite-1 will be orbited in the upcoming days from Cape Canaveral, using a SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
