    We are currently looking for an Experience Manager - UX to join the Thales IFE Systems team in Irvine, CA. 

    The Experience Manager - UX will be responsible for defining Interaction/visual design, identifying UI Design Patterns, Information Architecture, Functionality and Usefulness (Requirements, Epics) of user experience design deliverables. A passion for User Research - data driven products and business intelligence is a strong plus.  The individual will be working with multi-disciplinary team, Customers and engineers in interactive design sessions.  The individual must have experience in defining concise and distinctive user centered solutions through an iterative design process as well as synthesizing input from multiple stakeholders including product management, account management and sales, engineering, and Airlines.     Key Responsibilities:
     
    Executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    Develop the full stack of UX deliverables, from User research (personas) and storyboards, to information architecture and interaction design, to UI design & wireframes, as well as visual standards
    Analyze data and devise strong companion visualizations.
    Develop alternative approaches to meeting product requirements, using judgment to suggest optimal solutions to design problems that balance customer need, business constraints, and technological realities.
    Responsible for defining the user interface of key customer experiences and projects, concentrating on end-to-end scenarios and key user tasks.
    Collaborating on user experience planning with UX product line and architects and Design smart solutions to complex system workflows.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related experience. 8-12+ years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree. 6+ years’ of experience with a Master’s degree.
    Experience designing for a variety of touch input technologies including multi-screen interface environments.

    We are currently looking for a
    Primavera Project Manager to join the Thales Program Management team in Irvine, CA.

     

    The Primavera Project Manager will provide Integrated Scheduling and Resource Planning support, by acting as a liaison with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Program Management and the entire project team for the purpose of developing and maintaining an aggressive timeline, fully integrated project schedules, and current EAC / ETC details.  Provide support to the IFE Program Managers in the use of the PMBI reporting tool.  This job is critical due to the implementation of the Primavera Core Model within IFE.  This Thales Global tool requires experienced skilled users be on staff to support the use by Program Management, Project Engineering and Finance.  As well as perform the liaison function between Thales Global Services and InFlyt Entertainment. 

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    1.        Continuously analyzing schedule performance/progress and update completion/delivery dates.

    2.        Monitor Project Critical Path continually.

    3.        Advise Project Management on Cost trends

    4.        Attending and / or host weekly project planning meetings.

    5.        Assist Project Managers in change management and preparation.

    6.        Prepare and report on Milestone trends

    7.        Assist in the delivery of the monthly IPR report to Senior Management.

    8.        Perform schedule analysis, target verses forecast critical path.

    The Principal Systems Project Engineer to be responsible for coordinating the development and integration activities across Connectivity, Ground Tools and Cloud based Development Projects. The Ground Tools and Cloud Development Project Engineer would lead or support the development process, integration, validation and verification (IV&V) of the project. Support the budgeting, scheduling and coordination of the teams responsible for the particular activities, definition and tracking of the deliverables, passing the engineering process key milestone review meeting, communication with DPMO, PLM, customer and OEM PEs to ensure coordination and alignment. In addition, this position will require the support of activities leading up to the project Final Acceptance Test (FSAT), generic Milestones and supporting OEM offerability of new tools, connectivity and cloud based projects. Position requires thorough and extensive knowledge of systems engineering principles, which includes computer science disciplines, mechanical and electrical disciplines, as well as knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and trade practices in the systems field. The Principal Development Project Engineer is expected to maintain an interest of creativity, innovation & leadership.   

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    1.        Leading activities within Connectivity, Ground Tools and Cloud based projects.

    2.        Lead lab build, evolution and update strategy in accordance with team demands and new hardware evolution.

    3.        Leading quality standards for company products and overseeing the development and execution of system test plans and analyses of test results in coordination with the Platform and IVV lead.

    4.        Interacting with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, IVV, Installation, Development Program Management, Product Line Managers and Customer Programs to ensure development projects are developed per product requirements.

    5.        Determining how scope will be managed in accordance with technical specifications, on schedule and within budget of development program.

    6.        Strategically plan, organize and manage a project to completion; utilization of schedules to organize and understand project tasks and management of the tasks throughout the system lifecycle phases.

    7.        Commit to schedule and budget constraints for each release.

    8.        Identify and mitigate risks therefore minimizing the impact to schedule and cost.

    9.        Strong communication, leadership and reporting skills are required.

     

    Required Skills and Experience:

     

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in field with 8-12+ years’ experience or Master’s degree in field with 6+ years’ experience Master's degree a plus

    ·         Led a project in the development of complex integrated network-based products and systems. 

    ·         Must have working knowledge of connectivity and cloud based software development, developing web-based systems including server clusters and lite-client browsers, Linux operating systems, CGI, HTML, JAVA and Android technologies.

    We are currently looking for a
    Program Control Administrator to join the Thales Program Management team in Irvine, CA.

     

    The Program Control Administrator assists in the development and execution of project plans involving airline customers & aircraft manufactures.   Coordinates, monitors and reports on Bill of Materials (BOM) delivery status; monitors project milestones and assists the Program Manager in coordinating project activities with Management, airline customers, aircraft manufactures and other IFE&C entities

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    1.Manage and control all program related documentation, in accordance with established procedures.

    2.Receive, assess, and distribute correspondence to appropriate parties, ensuring that all parties’ intellectual property rights are protected.

    3.Assist in the development and stabilization of the BOM from the Initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM) through the design cycle.

    4.Ensure the Demand Database and MAP are updated to reflect the planned shipments for revenue recognition.

    5.Ensure BOM Demand is loaded (via POs or IPOs) accurately, and in a timely manner per established lead-times, and coordinate requests through the Program Change Board.

    6.Support customer satisfaction & revenue objectives by processing POs and carrying out requirements in compliance with contract and schedule constraints.  Ensure PO discrepancies are documented and acted upon in a timely manner.

    7.Working with Supply Chain and Operations, ensure that all BOM requirements are driving correctly in M2K on an on-going basis.

    8.Coordinate and monitor the release of drawings and technical documentation necessary to meet BOM deliverables.  Identify potential schedule risks to the Program Manager.

    9.Work with Supply Chain to ensure delivery spreadsheet contains correct customer required Thales commit dates, and all relevant shipping information. Provide customer with various reports, including the delivery spreadsheet according to agreed upon frequency.

     10.Support communication between customers, program management, OEMs and/or suppliers for recovery of late deliverables.

     

    Required Skills and Experience:

     

    ·Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; two-to-four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

     

    ·PMI CapM or PMP certification is a plus.

    ·Fluency in languages other than English may be desirable, depending upon the specific language needs of the individual programs.

    The mission of the Senior System Engineer - ISE is to provide solutions for In-Service Technical Issues. They contribute to Customer Satisfaction by leading the system availability and proposing appropriate solutions to meet the expected System Performance for a portfolio of customers. 

    The Senior System Engineer - ISE should:  
    - Be the Technical Focal for in-service issues and requests
    - Define and Prioritize In-Service issues
    - Ensure follow up and resolution of  technical in-service issues
    - Lead and Coordinate investigations/actions plans to resolution.
    - Monitor and analyze the IFE fleet performance for allocated customer programs.
    - Be the Engineering Communication link with AOC & FSEs for In Service issues and Thales internally for sustaining programs
    - Provide visibility on accomplishments and progress reports on major in service issues to internal entities

    Key Responsibilities: 

    In-service issues:
    Be the Technical Focal for in-service issues and requests
    Define and Prioritize In-Service issues by:
    o Holding regular In-Service performance meetings (frequency defined by Customer tier) with support teams (including Field, AOC, Support Engineering, Project Engineering and Program Management).
    o Maintaining a list of all in-service issues and actions with detailed description and status using JIRA and confluence
    o Creating Parettos of in service issues occurrence and impact in order to provide data and priority to task team

    System Performances:
    Monitor and analyze the IFE fleet performance for allocated customer programs by:
    o Reviewing and analyzing available data like BITE reports, Field reports, AOC Alerts, Reliability numbers, System Availability. 
    o Maintaining Performance metrics (per Customer tier).

    Investigations:
    Lead and Coordinate investigations/actions plans to resolution by:
    o Running investigation (in A/C with Field Engineers (RDK), in the Lab,…)
    o Participating to Generic Engineering and Production product reviews (task team, Product Quality and Reliability review)
    o Allocating priorities from a technical perspective
    o Reviewing proposed design changes and challenging proposed solutions
    o Ensure compliance to program office objectives and budget.

    We are currently looking for a Program Control Administrator to join the Thales Program Management team in Irvine, CA.

     

    The Program Control Administrator assists in the development and execution of project plans involving airline customers & aircraft manufactures.   Coordinates, monitors and reports on Bill of Materials (BOM) delivery status; monitors project milestones and assists the Program Manager in coordinating project activities with Management, airline customers, aircraft manufactures and other IFE&C entities

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    1.        Manage and control all program related documentation, in accordance with established procedures.

    2.        Receive, assess, and distribute correspondence to appropriate parties, ensuring that all parties’ intellectual property rights are protected.

    3.        Assist in the development and stabilization of the BOM from the Initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM) through the design cycle.

    4.        Ensure the Demand Database and MAP are updated to reflect the planned shipments for revenue recognition.

    5.        Ensure BOM Demand is loaded (via POs or IPOs) accurately, and in a timely manner per established lead-times, and coordinate requests through the Program Change Board.

    6.        Support customer satisfaction & revenue objectives by processing POs and carrying out requirements in compliance with contract and schedule constraints.  Ensure PO discrepancies are documented and acted upon in a timely manner.

    7.        Working with Supply Chain and Operations, ensure that all BOM requirements are driving correctly in M2K on an on-going basis.

    8.        Coordinate and monitor the release of drawings and technical documentation necessary to meet BOM deliverables.  Identify potential schedule risks to the Program Manager.

    9.        Work with Supply Chain to ensure delivery spreadsheet contains correct customer required Thales commit dates, and all relevant shipping information. Provide customer with various reports, including the delivery spreadsheet according to agreed upon frequency.

     10.     Support communication between customers, program management, OEMs and/or suppliers for recovery of late deliverables.

     

    Required Skills and Experience:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; two-to-four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ·         Proficient with PC operation, email, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with MRP systems preferred.

    ·         Ability to pro-actively and effectively communicate and support program management of complex programs within a multi-facility, international matrix organizational structure.  Ability to establish and maintain effective internal relationships.   Ability to maintain and conduct direct communications with customers and outside suppliers in multiple time zones, and under deadline pressures.

    ·         Demonstrated drive to complete tasks with schedule challenges, and experience in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment where daily decision making and action required.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

     

    • PMI CapM or PMP certification is a plus.
