Our clients, who mostly provide critical systems, heavily rely on cutting-edge technology from Thales whether in the fields of defence, aerospace, cybersecurity or digital identity. Thus, Thales continuously innovates across a wide range of technologies, from quantum physics and advanced materials to artificial intelligence and modern software technologies.
Thales employs nearly 34,000 R&D professionals, including 3,500 technical experts, who contribute each day to technological progress and differentiating innovations in Thales products and solutions.
Thales has five corporate research centres worldwide: in France, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, as well as in the UK, Canada, Singapore and India. With over 400 new patent filings annually, Thales has repeatedly won the prestigious Global Innovator Award from Clarivate.
Highly committed to scientific education and investment in young researchers, Thales supports about 250 PhD students worldwide.
