Artificial intelligence

Thales’ commitment to artificial intelligence has been strategic for a decade and will remain so for the next. We are fully aware, though our field of experience, of the considerable functional and performance gains that AI brings in critical environments and we are ready to roll it out on a large scale.

With an exceptional level of reliability, transparency, and cyber-resilience, Thales' artificial intelligence (AI) is designed for critical applications, enhancing the performance of highly specialized systems in Defense, Aerospace, Space, and Cybersecurity.
It is built to operate in technically constrained environments (limited embedding, power, and connectivity, classified training data) and under strict sovereignty requirements.

This sets it apart from general-purpose AI models. Through its cortAIx organization, Thales accelerates the development and integration of these specialized AIs into its solutions, continuing its strategic commitment to establish itself as the long-term reference AI partner in the industry.

AI for defense

In military operation, AI entails acquiring a deeper, broader, and faster understanding of the operating environment, the adversary, and oneself to conduct decisive actions that give and edge over the enemy.

eOODAL

With decades of expertise in leveraging the Observation-Orientation-Decision-Action loop (OODA) with the most advanced sensors and systems from multiple sovereign and public ecosystems, Thales strengthen the decision-making process with AI to help reaching Cognitive Superiority, before, during and after the battle. It starts with amplified sensors performance, extends with faster and more comprehensive situation analysis and ends with more autonomous, and optimized actions. Through its new range of AI enabled solutions, Thales shapes the future of Defense.
