Accessibility

What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website is one that allows people with disabilities to access its content and features without difficulty.

For example, an accessible website allows users to:

  • Navigate using a screen reader and/or a braille display (commonly used by blind and visually impaired individuals).
  • Customize the website’s display according to their needs (such as enlarging or shrinking text, changing colors, etc.).
  • Navigate without using a mouse (using only the keyboard, a touchscreen, voice commands, or other adapted devices).

To achieve this, the website must comply with current standards during its development and updates.

Accessibility Statement

Thales is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with Article 47 of French Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005.

To this end, Thales is implementing the following strategy and actions:

  • Accessibility was considered right from the start of the site redesign project, when the call for tenders for the redesign project was written. The aim is to achieve total accessibility of the site.
  • Two main axes are covered:
    • Developments: accessibility criteria were considered during the design and development phase of the site in 2024 and early 2025. A pre-audit was carried out in June 2025, with non-conformities corrected in preparation for the audit. The final audit was carried out before the site was launched, with an overall compliance rate of 63%. Corrections are underway, with a view to the counter-audit, which will take place by the end of 2025.
    • Contribution: provision of an accessibility best practice guide and ongoing support for site contributors.

This accessibility statement applies to the website Thales: https://www.thalesgroup.com/.
