Thales unveils its first collaborative platform accredited with the French restricted level
- While the current health crisis and the rise of remote work have highlighted the vital need for cybersecurity, Thales is supporting companies and organizations in securing their sensitive data.
- To enable French and foreign corporations to exchange and collaborate in total trust, Thales is launching the first ever "collaborative platform accredited with the French restricted level", operating on a SaaS model (Software as a Service).
- Within this secured collaboration hub, governments and industry entities will have access, through trustworthy communities, to a complete range of collaboration tools that includes instant messaging services, audio and video conferencing, screen sharing (Citadel Team), as well as the management and sharing of documents (Cryptobox).
To avoid an IT crisis on top of the actual health crisis, Thales is providing critical security for businesses and organizations by offering a complete platform of Restricted Security level of collaboration services including options such as Citadel Team and Cryptobox, making the high-tech leader, the first to offer such a service.
The health crisis has dramatically influenced the IT industry and the way we work. Indeed, Covid-19 has had an unprecedented impact in terms of cybersecurity, enabling hackers to use the current crisis as a new weapon to target businesses on a massive scale. Thus, the explosion of remote work has directly led to a greater demand for safer and ergonomic exchange and collaboration tools to ease their use on a daily basis.
From large French or European programs, to small or medium-sized companies in France, to important government entities such as the French Ministry of the Army, all of these different actors collaborate on sensitive topics on a regular basis. Consequently, to ensure a highly secured interconnection and to ease the exchange of sensitive data, they all require the implementation of ergonomic and highly secured solutions and services.
Thales, through its company Ercom, offers a collaboration services platform enabling secured exchanges and collaboration while being able to process documents and information at "Restricted Security" and "Special French Restricted Security" levels between governments and companies.
Thanks to a wide range of SaaS services ("Software as a Service") - instant messaging via Citadel Team, audio and video conferencing, screen sharing, document management and sharing via Cryptobox - the Group's customers will have access to all these tools on a single platform at accessible and fair prices.
This platform, which hosts the collaboration services, is a key product of the Thales Group. Additionally, TrustNest provides the best of digital transformation, anywhere and anytime, without compromising security, trust or sovereignty. To this end, this private cloud is also certified as having a Restricted Access.
All of the services can be interconnected with the customer's information systems if they are "Restricted Diffusion" certified, thanks to the Mistral solution, produced by the Group. This new version is compatible with the new protection profile defined by the French association, ANSSI (National Agency of Information Systems Security) and that was recently standardly qualified. If not, the client entity will be given the option of using Cryptosmart, a "Restricted Security" level mobile terminal developed with Samsung, as a supplement to the platform.
This new highly secured platform will be unveiled at the "Assises de la Sécurité", an exhibition in Monaco from October 13 to October 16, 2021. For additional information, visit the Thales exhibit or attend the workshop "Collaboration at the RD level" hosted by our experts on October 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
