The Thales AI toolkit is a development and deployment suite that enables trustable, low power-consumption, embedded AI solutions by enabling interpretability and formal verifiability for complex autonomy, decision making, and predictive analytics for a variety of potential domains such as Aerospace, Defense, Banking, Medical, Automotive, among others.

FORCES

  1. Verifiable, Ethical and Certifiable AI

Based on Genetic Fuzzy Trees, the Thales AI Toolkit enables transparent, explainable, and certifiable AI for critical missions. It ensures trust and performance in safety-critical systems by embedding formal verification into the AI design process.

  2. TrUE AI for Any Domain

The AI Toolkit supports Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and more, offering embedded, low-power AI with scalable performance. Its interpretability and resistance to noise make it ideal for autonomous control, prediction, and decision-making.

  3. 3-in-1 AI Dev Suite

Create, train, and formally verify AI with Thales’s Genetic Fuzzy Tree Toolkit. This complete development suite includes software tools and expert services to support use-case-specific AI—from prototyping to deployment.

The Thales AI toolkit is based on Genetic Fuzzy Trees (GFTs), a novel type of machine learning-based AI approach combining fuzzy logic, efficient network structures based on a human-like decision-making approach, and powerful Genetic Algorithms.

This innovative methodology was introduced by Psibernetix Inc. in 2015 and furthered by Thales since 2018. This GFT methodology fits the Thales “TrUE” AI approach; it is Transparent, Understandable, and Ethical.

At its core, the Thales AI toolkit is based on fuzzy logic, developed by Lotfi Zadeh in 1965. This branch of soft computing leverages tolerance for imprecision and uncertainty to deliver robust, high-performance control at low cost.
As a "universal approximator", fuzzy logic emulates human reasoning to model complex, non-linear relationships between inputs and outputs efficiently and transparently.
Its resilience to randomness, uncertainty, and noise has made it a strong alternative to traditional mathematical and statistical methods.
Thales has scaled fuzzy logic to enable its TrUE AI Toolkit to build high-performance, formally verified, and trustable AI systems for high-dimensional problems across reinforcement, supervised, and unsupervised learning.
