Thales launches OT XDR capability to improve visibility across IT and OT environments
Thales has launched its Operational Technology Extended Detection and Response (OT XDR) capability in the UK, designed to help organisations gain a unified view of cyber risk across IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
The capability addresses a growing challenge for operators of critical infrastructure, where increasing connectivity and system complexity are making it harder to understand and manage risk. According to the 2026 Thales Data Threat Report, only 35% of UK organisations have full visibility of where their data resides, while 81% are managing five or more security tools.
OT XDR brings together asset visibility, vulnerability intelligence and exposure analysis into a single view, enabling organisations to identify risk across interconnected environments and prioritise remediation based on operational impact.
Built on the Tenable One exposure management platform, the capability is delivered using an engineering-led approach, combining design, deployment and configuration tailored to industrial environments.
