Thales in the UK signs a MOU with BAE Systems Digital Intelligence to deliver the next generation of Land ISTAR
We are pleased to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, Frazer-Nash Consultancy and CACI to support the delivery of Project ZODIAC and the future evolution of Land ISTAR capability for the British Army.
ZODIAC is a tactical battlefield system that will deliver digitalised ISTAR, provide deployed fusion analysis and Command and Control capabilities to enable deployed forces to operate with greater lethality and survivability.
Mike Sewart, CTO at Thales in the UK, said,
"Project ZODIAC represents far more than a software programme. It is an opportunity to connect sensors, data and decision-makers into a coherent operational capability that helps commanders understand and act faster. Our role is to help deliver a software-defined defence ecosystem, based on open, adaptable architectures that can evolve as threats, technologies and missions change."
By combining expertise from across industry and leveraging shared knowledge of AI enabled decision making, this team is uniquely positioned to help realise the ambition behind ZODIAC.
