Thales issues a €1bn bond €
Thales (Euronext Paris: HO) issued on August 20th, 2026 a bond in two tranches for a total amount of 1 billion euros, intended to finance the projected acquisition of Exail announced on
July 6th, 2026.
This new issue comes in the following form:
- A tranche of 500 million euros, with a term of 4 years, at a fixed rate with a coupon of 3.50%;
- A tranche of 500 million euros, with a term of 8 years, at a fixed rate with a coupon of 3.75%.
This issue was met with strong investor demand and has been widely subscribed by a diversified investor base, thus reflecting the market’s confidence in the Group’s credit quality, rated A2 (stable outlook) by Moody’s and A- (stable outlook) by S&P Global Ratings.
The issuance was managed by Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (global coordinator), alongside BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Natixis, Santander, Société Générale, Barclays, CIC, Commerzbank, HSBC and UniCredit, as bookrunners.
