Michel CAPLOT

After obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering and a PhD in physics, Michel Caplot worked at ONERA (French National Office for Aerospace Research) and then at NASA, before joining Thales, where he worked in the airborne radar domain, followed by a spell as the director of the technical platform at Thales Research & Technology. 

In 2002, he joined the microwave and imaging solutions business line, where he held a variety of positions, including technical director and head of innovation.

He is currently in charge of the new-generation X-ray source business (based on nanotechnologies), which is aimed at developing electronic scanning imaging equipment for medical radiology and airport security.
