The protection of your personal data is of high importance to THALES, therefore THALES takes all reasonable care to ensure that your personal data is processed safely.

When using this application (the “Application”) you will share your personal data with THALES DIS FRANCE SAS, a simplified joint stock company organized and existing under French law, with registered office at 6 Rue de la Verrerie, 92190 Meudon, France (“THALES”), acting as data controller.

  1. What personal data does Thales process?

Thales may process the following personal data when you use the Application:

  • Personal Information: fingerprint pictures.
    • Information about the device you are using to access the Application, depending on the device you are using and its settings, which may include:
      • Type of device
      • Device operating system
      • Device camera configuration (for example supported resolutions)
      • Application info and performance, crash logs, diagnostics, other application performance data
  1. What is your data used for?

Your data may be used for the following purposes:

  • Improvement of Thales’ solution (i.e. the present mobile application and its components)

 

  1. What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the End-User License Agreement to which you are party since you downloaded the Application.

 

  1. What measures are implemented to safeguard your personal data?

THALES implements encryption technical measures to safeguard the processed data.

 

  1. How long do we keep your personal data?

For the abovementioned purposes, your personal data will be kept for a period of up to twelve months following the completion of the Biometric Self-Enrolment Feasibility Trials (i.e. until February 28th, 2026).

 

  1. Who are the recipients of your personal data?

In the context of such processing, the recipients of all or part of your personal data may be the personnel of THALES and other entities of its group in charge of the administration, supervision and management of THALES’ mobile application products and services management, as well as some personnel of third parties which provide services to THALES, in particular hosting and maintenance services of its information systems, all such recipients being located within the European Economic Area and in the countries listed below.

 

  1. Is your personal data transferred out of the European Economic Area?

The sharing of your personal data with certain recipients may imply transfers of your data out of the European Economic Area (EEA) in the following countries: United State of America. THALES pays particular attention to the protection of your personal data. Thus, where such transfers out of the EEA shall take place, THALES shall implement appropriate safeguards by signing the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission with the entity out of the EEA which processes your personal data in the absence of an adequacy decision of the European Commission. You can obtain a copy of such clauses by addressing your request through one of the emails referred to below.

 

  1. What are your rights related to your personal data?

Please note that you have the right to access your personal data and to request that your personal data be rectified or deleted. You are also entitled to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to ask for receiving, in a structured and standard format, your personal data that you provided to THALES and which THALES processes by automated means.
