Thales has been a key partner of the Finnish authorities and governmental institutions since the 1880s in civil and defence domains. Since then, Thales has increased its footprint through the provision of Military Air Surveillance Radars, where the first contract was signed in 1988 and the second in 2009. Thales is also a partner for Air Traffic Management providing Air Control Systems to the civil aviation sector. In the Cyber & Digital area it dates back to 1885, when the Bank of Finland Banknote Printing Works was founded. Since 1987, Thales has been the passport supplier to the Finnish Authorities and in 1998 the National eID card was introduced by Thales, which was the first electronic ID card in the world.

Defence
Thales in Finland has a longstanding and strong position in the Finnish Defence Forces. Thales offers a wide range of solutions for air, land, naval and joint forces in areas such as command & control systems, surveillance, detection and intelligence systems.
Thales has equipped the Finnish Army Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) units with the highly mobile Crotale air defence missile systems. Thales also provides maintenance support through a local company, i.e. Millog.
In 2009, the Air Force signed a contract for upgrading the radars and selected the GM400 Air Defence radars in a joint procurement with Estonia.
In 2022 Thales signed a contract for the mid-life upgrade for the GM400 radars together with Estonia.
Civil Aviation
Since the first Thales Air Traffic Management center was built the late 90s, Thales has been the service provider to the Finnish air navigation service, FINAVIA. After several updates, the current Air Traffic Management center at TOPSKY ATC now covers the entire country including military and smaller civil airports.
Thales is providing the FINEST system to Finland and Estonia, aiming at ensuring a world-class safe and cost-effective Thales Air Traffic Management system, adopting a common managerial approach and acting as one team together with Thales.

Cyber & Digital
Thales is a trusted partner to the Finnish, Baltic and Nordic Authorities and conducts research and development across a range of secure documents, e.g. passport and ID cards. Since 2017, more than 750,000 passports have been issued per year on average for Finland.
In Finland, Thales also provides a wide range of market leading IoT solutions perfectly adapted for the Finnish market context such as Smart Metering solutions for utilities and grid managers within the energy market. For the Finnish Healthcare system, Thales provides state of the art solution in security and connectivity.

Osakekirjojen tilaus- ja hintatiedustelut voi myös lähettää osoitteeseen aso(at)thalesgroup.com.
Osakekirjatilauksissa tulee mainita seuraavat tiedot:
- asunto-osakeyhtiö nimi
- Y-tunnus
- ajankohta, jolloin yhtiö on merkitty kaupparekisteriin
- osakekirjojen kappalemäärä
- osakenumerot, joita tilaus koskee
- yhteyshenkilön nimi ja puhelinnumero
- toimitusosoite ja laskutusosoite, mikäli eri kuin toimitusosoite
- allekirjoitus yhtiön nimenkirjoitusoikeuden omaavalta henkilöltä tai henkilöiltä
Jos yhtiölle ei ole aikaisemmin painettu osakekirjoja, on tilauksessa oltava vakuutus siitä, että yhtiölle ei ole aikaisemmin tehty osakekirjoja. Vastaavasti jos kyseessä on osakekirjojen lisätilaus, on tilauksessa oltava vakuutus siitä, ettei yhtiölle ole aikaisemmin tehty tähän tilaukseen liittyviä osakekirjoja. Jos yhtiö haluaa uusia vanhat osakekirjat tai ne ovat kadonneet, on tilauksessa oltava vakuutus siitä, että yhtiö on palauttanut tai kuolettanut kaikki aikaisemmin valmistetut tähän tilaukseen liittyvät osakekirjat. Osakekirjojen kuoletusta voi hakea yhtiön kotipaikan käräjäoikeudesta.
Liitteet: Thales DIS Finland Oy hankkii tilaajan puolesta veloituksetta yhtiöjärjestyksen ja kaupparekisterinotteen. Muut mahdolliset liitteet pyydämme tarvittaessa.
Vanhat osakekirjat: Jos yhtiö tilaa uudet osakekirjat vanhojen tai kadonneiden tilalle, on tilaukseen lisäksi liitettävä kaikki vanhat osakekirjat tai kadonneiden osakekirjojen käräjäoikeuden antama oikeaksi todistama jäljennös kuoletuspäätöksestä (ei kopiota jäljennöksestä). Thales DIS Finland Oy hävittää vanhat osakekirjat arvopapereille ja tietoturvatuotteille määritellyllä tavalla ja antaa asunto-osakeyhtiön tilaajalle hävitystodistuksen. Tällä menettelyllä estetään osakekirjojen kaksoiskappaleet.
Osakekirjojen toimitus- ja tilausaineistot: Thales DIS Finland Oy palauttaa alkuperäisen tilausaineiston uusien osakekirjojen kanssa samassa lähetyksessä. Toimitusaika on toimitusehtojen mukainen. Osakekirjat toimitetaan kirjattuna lähetyksenä. Osakekirjojen painatuspalvelut loppuvat Thalesilla viimeistään vuoden 2025 loppuun mennessä.
Tutkintotodistusten toimitus- ja tilausaineistot: Tutkintotodistuskansilehtien ja tutkintotodistusten lisälehtien valmistus loppuu 31.12.2025. Tilauksia otetaan vastaan 30.11.2025 asti.
