Thales announces a new appointment to the Board of Directors

Meeting on February 1st, 2024, the Board of Directors of Thales (Euronext Paris: HO) welcomed Alexis Zajdenweber as new Director representing the French State, appointed by order on January 29th, 2024, succeeding to Emmanuel Moulin. Alexis Zajdenweber is the Managing Director of the Government Shareholding Agency. He also replaces Emmanuel Moulin as member of the Strategic and social and environmental responsibility Committee and of the Governance and compensation Committee of the Board.

A graduate of the Paris Political Studies Institute (IEP Paris) and of the National School of Administration (ENA), Alexis Zajdenweber began his career in 2003 at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, as Deputy Director of the Savings and Financial Markets Department of the French Treasury, where he became, in 2006, Deputy Director of the Corporate Finance and Development Department.

In 2007, he was seconded as councilor for competition and state aids, company law and corporate governance to the Economic, Finance and Monetary Affairs Department in the permanent French representation to the European Union in Brussels.

In 2009, Alexis Zajdenweber returned to the French Treasury as Head of the Banking Services and Means of Payment Department, before leading, in 2011, the Investments, Fight against Financial Crime and Sanctions Department.

In 2012, he was appointed as councilor in charge of the financial sector at the Minister of Economy and Finances’ office.

He joined the Government Shareholding Agency in 2014 as Head of the Energy Investments Department.

In 2017, he joined the Presidency of the Republic as councilor for the Economy, Finance and Industry.

Alexis Zajdenweber has been the Managing Director of the Government Shareholding Agency since his appointment on September 14th, 2022 by decree of the President of the Republic.
