Thales next-generation command and control system launch

In an increasingly complex operational environment, armed forces need to understand, decide and act faster. The proliferation of sensors, drones and information sources is significantly increasing the cognitive load on command staff and operators. Command and control systems must therefore scale up, to consolidate multiple data sources, extract the relevant information and support decision-making at every level, from strategic to tactical.

This is the ambition behind HexaForce: to give armed forces a shared, up-to-date and actionable view of the operational situation. The solution draws on the artificial intelligence capabilities of cortAIx, Thales’ AI accelerator, which brings together 800 specialised engineers and data scientists. During experimentation phases, these capabilities have already made it possible to move from 100 to 1,000 targeting objectives processed per day, providing a concrete illustration of how AI can help accelerate operational tempo.

Built on an open, sovereign and interoperable architecture, HexaForce is designed to integrate with existing systems and coalition environments. Developed with the armed forces, the solution incorporates user feedback at every stage in order to address real operational needs as closely as possible.
