Thales has announced a long-term agreement with Epic Games, the creator of Unreal Engine, to integrate the world’s most advanced 3D creation tool into its next-generation simulation products.

In the simulation and training market, there is an increasing adoption of immersive gaming technologies for professional applications. These innovations enhance graphics quality while reducing development time and hardware costs. Thales aims to leverage this trend by progressively incorporating Unreal Engine 5 into its broad range of live, virtual, and constructive training solutions.

Unreal Engine 5 offers real-time rendering capabilities, high-fidelity environments, and accurate data representation. This collaboration will enable Thales to create highly realistic and interactive synthetic environments that significantly enhance training outcomes.

"We are very pleased to be working with the Unreal Engine team at Epic Games. Their advanced tools align perfectly with our ambition to elevate professional simulation. The rapid integration of Unreal Engine into our solutions will greatly benefit our customers, particularly in land training applications."
Peter Hitchcock, Vice President of the Training and Simulation business at Thales

"Thales has a strong legacy in training and simulation. Combining their expertise with Unreal Engine 5’s cutting-edge capabilities will enable industry stakeholders to train in ways never before possible."
Sebastien Loze, Unreal Engine Business Director for Simulation at Epic Games
