Thales has been honored with the prestigious Crystal Cabin Award for its Onboard Data Center, a breakthrough innovation in cabin systems, materials, and components. The award, presented at the Aircraft Interiors Expo on June 6, 2023, recognizes cutting-edge advancements that shape the future of air travel.

The Onboard Data Center introduces a hyper-converged architecture with six patented technologies, optimizing storage and computing capabilities. Its blade-based design allows for flexible upgrades, ensuring adaptability to airline needs while providing 10 times more storage than traditional IFE servers. Additionally, its 99.99% availability ensures seamless passenger experience even in case of partial system failure.

This revolutionary technology enables real-time resource optimization, cloud-based software deployment in under 12 hours, and cyber-secured virtualization, eliminating the need for extensive physical lab testing.

We are honored to receive the 2023 Crystal Cabin Award for our Onboard Data Center. This recognition highlights our commitment to shaping the future of travel through innovative IFEC solutions.”
