10 Years of Thales Deutschland in Ditzingen

For ten years, Thales Deutschland has been based in Ditzingen. Today, the company’s employees celebrated this anniversary with coffee and cake. Ulrich Bahmer, Mayor of the City of Ditzingen, and Christoph Ruffner, CEO of Thales Deutschland, jointly cut the birthday cake.

In June 2014, Thales Deutschland began merging the locations in Stuttgart, Korntal, and Pforzheim under the roof of a modern new building in Ditzingen. The official opening took place on 15 September 2014.

Thales Deutschland is one of the largest country organizations within the Thales Group, employing around 2,000 people at a total of nine locations with its own production and development facilities. In 2023, the company generated revenues of approximately 500 million euros – the majority stemming from German value creation. Having been established in Germany for over a century, Thales Deutschland, as an integrated German electronics company and systems house, continues the tradition of German engineering excellence. As a recognized part of the German high-tech industry, Thales Deutschland offers its customers in Germany and abroad state-of-the-art, highly secure and reliable reconnaissance, radar, communication, information, and control systems, as well as services for safe land, air, and sea traffic, and for both civil and military safety and security requirements. Furthermore, Thales Deutschland has a comprehensive portfolio of IT solutions for cybersecurity. At its Ulm site, the company also develops and manufactures satellite components.
