Service Oklahoma has selected Thales to deliver new driver licenses and ID cards designed for maximum security, durability, and sustainability.

The new credentials are made from 100% polycarbonate, a durable material that embeds advanced security features to prevent fraud. These enhancements will make it easier for law enforcement and inspectors to quickly verify authenticity, protecting Oklahoma citizens from identity theft.

Designed to celebrate Oklahoma’s heritage and natural beauty, the cards depict iconic state symbols such as the North American Bison, Rolling Prairie, Scissor-Tailed Swallow, and Redbud Tree. On the back of the cards, all 77 Oklahoma counties are microprinted for a unique, personal touch.

For the first time in North America, Oklahoma licenses will feature Thales’ RevealPlus, an exclusive security element that uses animated effects and rolling text across the secondary portrait. Based on the viewing angle, the card will display different data for quick and intuitive authentication.

" Service Oklahoma is taking a significant step forward in identity security with this next-generation credential. Oklahoma is setting a new standard for fraud prevention and authentication, ensuring residents have one of the most secure and durable driver licenses in the country."
Spencer R. Moore, Vice President, North America Civil Identity Solutions for Thales

With this partnership, Thales continues to expand its footprint in secure ID solutions across North America, now serving agencies in Oklahoma, Alaska, Arizona (MVD & DPS), Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington D.C., Wyoming, and several Canadian provinces, including New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.
