Identity is a major attack vector. Strong IAM, WIAM, CIAM and PAM frameworks reduce risks by enforcing leastprivilege access and securing workforce and customer data. They streamline identity lifecycle processes and improve user experience. Aligning controls with ISO 27001, NIST CSF and privacy regulations strengthens security and compliance.
Identity security across workforce, customer and privileged users
Strengthening Identity Governance in a Critical Infrastructure Environment
A major French critical infrastructure organisation engaged Thales to redesign its IAM policy and audit its Active Directory architecture as part of a global identity governance transformation. Over an eight-month engagement, Thales assessed governance maturity, reviewed technical and organisational controls, and delivered a comprehensive set of security recommendations and control points. The mission enabled the client to strengthen access control practices, improve identity and authorisation governance, and establish a structured roadmap for the continuous enhancement of its IAM and Active Directory security posture.
Consumer Identity and Access Management modernisation
A federal government agency in Australia partnered with Thales to modernise its Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) framework in response to rising identity fraud risks and fragmented legacy systems. Thales delivered a phased transformation built around PingOne by Ping Identity, a SaaS-based CIAM platform deployed on sovereign cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance and scalability. The solution unified digital identity across all citizen touchpoints, strengthened authentication and risk analytics capabilities, and streamlined integration with CRM and government digital ID services. The program strengthened security, improved user experience, and established a scalable foundation for future digital public services.
