Sensors slaved to pilot's sight
During air combat (A/A or A/G) wich requires the pilot to look outside frequently, they can detect a point of interest (like an enemy aircraft or a ground target) and slave the onboard sensors to the designated point of interest off-boresight without any aircraft maneuvers. Scorpion is the bridge between pilot's eye and the weapon system.
-
Sensor-guided pilot view for improved situational awareness
During air combat (A/A or A/G) the pilot can see the target designated by the sensors. Specific symbology will guide the pilot's sight to the point of interest and allows an easy and quick visual acquisition.

Display of information: Flight data, tactical information and terrain data
During the mission the pilot must keep looking outside the aircraft and the head-worn display (HWD) shows critical mission information at all times. Scorpion allows drastic safety improvement and operational enhancement.
Scorpion helps Air Forces who want to improve their mission efficiency and effectiveness by creating a bridge between pilot's eye and weapon/mission systems with an easily installable and affordable solution. This head-worn display (HWD) already equips platforms including Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon (Blocks 30, 40, 50 and 70), Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II, F/A-18C Hornet, F-5 (Aggressor fleet).
