ECLIPSE counter UxV - RCIED solution
Smart electronic protection system
ECLIPSE is designed to inhibit any radio signals used to activate a Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED), such as low-power radio, PMR, cellular, wireless, satellite and UAV command and video links.
Key benefits
-
Easy to use
The use of ECLIPSE is easy and intuitive thanks to the user-friendly Remote Control Unit (RCU), requiring minimal training and user interaction.
-
Scalable solution
The hardware and software architecture of ECLIPSE is designed to be both scalable and modular, enabling operation across a broad frequency range and supporting configurable power options from 50W up to 200W (BOOST).
-
Easy to integrate
ECLIPSE is housed in a compact package that can be installed indoors or outdoors. Thanks to its very high expertise in jammer integration on vehicle and its capability to make EMC simulation, Thales can support you in defining the appropriate vehicle integration solution.
Software-defined jammer
Jamming waveforms are programmed prior to the mission using the mission preparation software tool running on a Windows® laptop. Mission files are then loaded through a direct PC connection or secure USB key for easy on-field setting. Embedded or external communication compatibility modules ensure that tactical radio communications are maintained during inhibition. The reactive capacity of ECLIPSE enables spectrum and threat sensing (ESM) in real time or offline (with recorded events log), improving situation awareness on the battlefield.
The software-defined jammer features hybrid active and reactive inhibition modes, providing full coverage from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. It is a lightweight, compact unit with low power consumption. Its modular design enables flexible integration inside or outside vehicles with multiple antenna configurations. It protects against UAVs and remote-controlled improvised explosive devices (RCIED) while preserving friendly communications. Its open architecture simplifies multiple mission configurations, and its robust design ensures durability in harsh environments.
