IonShield benefits from the latest high tech sensor suite, for one, by the inclusion and integration of the APAR Block2, our newest X-Band multi-function radar. Through multibeam volume search, horizon search, hemispherical target tracking the APAR block2 defends against saturation attacks in the highest threat scenarios.

Besides the APAR Block 2, the Sea Master 400 (SM400) is integrated into the IonShield solution. This non-rotating, four faced S-band volume search radar is designed to simultaneously air surveillance, helicopter control, surface surveillance and weapon control functions. The system delivers high update rates regardless of environmental and clutter conditions, through proven mutli-beam and Doppler principles.

IonShield leverages popular and proven CMS Tacticos, valued by Navies around the world. IonShield supports Tacticos in selecting the best defensive actions to survive in combat by maximally exploiting the fire control capabilities of the integrated sensors and weapons. To maximize the mission survivability, IonShield includes a performance-based engagement scheduler.
