As global reliance on GNSS continues to grow, ensuring its security, reliability, and independence has become more critical for both public and private sectors.

  1. Resilient and scalable ground segment

Proven expertise in Galileo ground infrastructure, delivering secure, flexible, and high-performance navigation services.

  2. Advanced and robust satellites

Equipped with innovative technologies and built on proven expertise, our satellites ensure higher accuracy, resilience against interference and jamming, and unmatched reliability.

  3. End-to-end system

Unique system expertise with the capability to deliver complex space systems integrating space, ground, and user segments.

GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) provide the backbone of positioning, navigation, and timing worldwide. With the growing number of applications (aviation, autonomous vehicles, telecommunications, banking, critical infrastructure…), the reliability, accuracy, and sovereignty of GNSS systems have become a strategic imperative.

Whether for global constellations like Galileo or regional solutions, our solutions support secure, autonomous, and high-integrity services, at the heart of connected societies.

GALILEO

Galileo is Europe’s own Global Navigation Satellite System, designed to deliver high-precision positioning, secure services, and true independence from other constellations. From the very first signals to today’s fully operational constellation, Thales Alenia Space has played a key role in its development, contributing to the deployment and success of Galileo’s first generation. Our technology and expertise have supported key milestones, helping Galileo grow into a world-class navigation system and a symbol of European independence.

Today, our commitment continues with Galileo Second Generation (G2G), where we are shaping the system to meet tomorrow’s needs for resilience, accuracy, and security. As a trusted partner of ESA, EUSPA and the European Commission, we are building half of the new G2G satellites and developing the mission ground segment together with our European partners, ensuring the constellation’s strength both in space and on the ground. Combining proven navigation expertise with the ability to manage complex European consortia, we have brought together the European’s leading experts to deliver best-in-class GNSS system, ensuring unmatched reliability.

With decades of proven know-how, we continue to strengthen Europe’s sovereignty in GNSS.
