The TopAxyz MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) accelerometer product line offers a wide performance range, from navigation to tactical grade, with substantial savings in power consumption and reduced size under stringent environments.

FORCES

  1. Compact & Easy to Integrate

With a compact form factor, SPI interface, and shared mechanical design across the range, TopAxyz MEMS accelerometers reduce integration costs and simplify system development—even in space-constrained, safety-critical environments.

  2. High Stability

Delivering up to 100g range, TopAxyz MEMS offer excellent long-term stability. Their performance meets demanding inertial navigation, guidance, and stabilization needs across land, air and sea.

  3. Proven in Harsh Conditions

TopAxyz MEMS are robust against shock and vibration. Trusted in defense and aerospace platforms including missiles, they ensure high integrity even in the harshest environments.

TopAxyz inertial sensors are compliant with a large range of civil and military applications such as airplanes, helicopters, UAVs, land vehicles, munitions, satellites and naval.

The Thales MEMS accelerometer is compliant with Aeronautic Development Standards (DO254) to guarantee the highest level of quality for safety-critical applications.

Thales has developed innovative vibrating inertial sensor technology based on silicon detectors. This accelerometer measures changes in the vibration frequency of the resonator caused by the threat exerted by the proof mass as the vehicle accelerates. A vibrating beam accelerometer operates by measuring the change in the resonant frequency of a vibrating beam when subjected to acceleration.

The beam's vibration frequency shifts in response to inertial forces, which are then converted into electrical signals. These signals are processed to determine the acceleration, making it a reliable tool for precision measurement in various industrial and scientific applications.
