In line with the Oman Vision 2040, Thales continues to develop its local presence, which today includes a defence services centre and cybersecurity academy.

Defence
Thales is a trusted partner of the Royal Army of Oman, having deployed solutions primarily in the field of tactical communications in radios, infantry vehicles and tactical networks.
Thales also supplies the Royal Navy of Oman with combat management systems, radars, radios, and other electronic systems. To ensure ongoing support, Thales operates a Defence Service Centre in Wudam.
Thales further equips the Royal Air Force of Oman Airbus helicopters and platforms with sensors, optronics and avionics systems.

Civil Aviation
Thales is Oman Air’s inflight entertainment (IFE) supplier of choice, providing state-of-the-art AVANT IFE solutions across its entire fleet of A330, Boeing 737, 787 and 737 MAX aircraft. In Navigation Aids, Thales has supplied Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) systems and Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range (DVOR) systems to Muscat and Salalah international airports, as well as to five regional airports, contributing towards a significant increase in flight safety.
Cyber & Digital
Thales has delivered state-of-the-art technologies to ensure the protection of the two main airports of Oman: Muscat International airport and Salalah Airport. Thales is the Master System Integrator (MSI) for both airports, providing integrated security solutions, training operators and developing new procedures to enhance operations. In the area of digital identity, Thales has supported Oman in the deployment of the Sultanate’s eGovernment project, strengthening security and participation in public life.
