Canada hosts Thales Centres of Excellence in artificial intelligence (cortAIx), cybersecurity (National Digital Excellence Centre) and Night Vision Systems, and is also the home of the North American Digital Factory. Our investments in research and technology in Canada play a key role in accelerating the development of trusted solutions for Canada.

SYNERGY
SYNERGY is a Thales collaborative initiative designed to accelerate the commercialization of advanced military technologies developed by Canadian small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The program is helping to bridge the gap between early-stage innovation and sustainable business models by providing tailored support to high-potential Canadian MilTech SMBs. Today, Thales collaborates with five Canadian SMBs in its SYNERGY program.

Digital Factory
Canada is home to the Thales North America Digital Factory whose mission is to accelerate digital transformation within Thales and for our customers. As an innovation hub, the Digital Factory incubates startups, trains Thales employees and fosters digital culture. Located in Montreal, it is one of three key global hubs.
National Digital Excellence Centre
Through our National Digital Excellence Centre (NDEC) in Fredericton, we’re building deep cyber expertise and delivering advanced solutions for critical infrastructure, mission systems, and organizations across the commercial and defence sectors. The NDEC provides educational institutions, academia, start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses, industry, and government with the resources to collaboratively develop cyber and digital technologies and strengthen Canada’s collective cyber resilience.
