Stormshield and ERCOM launch a new sovereign IPSEC VPN

Stormshield and ERCOM have announced the launch of a new sovereign IPSEC VPN client, designed to offer a competitive European alternative addressing challenges of trust, performance, and strategic autonomy.

Developed by ERCOM and marketed by Stormshield from the second quarter of 2026, this new IPSEC (Internet Protocol Security) VPN is a type of virtual private network that secures communications over the Internet by encrypting data exchanged between two endpoints (for example, a user and a company, or two sites of an organisation).

This collaboration strengthens the sovereign offer of secure multi-platform remote access, with a future Security Visa targeted with ANSSI to ensure a high level of protection for critical data.

Stormshield, a European leader in cybersecurity, and ERCOM, a French company specialised in digital security and a subsidiary of Thales, announce the launch of a new IPSEC VPN client. Initial demonstrations will take place during the InCyber Forum in Lille from March 31 to April 2, at the Stormshield booth A14.

An initiative that stands out for its national and European grounding, jointly supported by two entities committed to strategic autonomy.

Stormshield IPSEC VPN Client is a sovereign encryption solution that strengthens the level of protection of communications in compliance with LPM and II901 regulations. It integrates seamlessly with Stormshield Network Security solutions, which ensure end-to-end secure communications for sensitive or "Restricted Disclosure" (DR) classified information.

ERCOM ensured the development of this new VPN solution, while Stormshield will handle its commercialisation starting from the second quarter of 2026, through its partner network.

Stormshield can now offer a sovereign end-to-end secure remote access solution compatible with multiple platforms and based on Stormshield Network Security gateways.

Subsequently, a Security Visa procedure will be initiated with ANSSI.

By relying on sovereign and trusted solutions, client companies and organisations are able to ensure continuous protection of their sensitive digital assets.
