Thales in the UK has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with L3Harris Technologies to develop an integrated short-range air defence (SHORAD) command and control capability.

The new capability integrates L3Harris’ proven Target Orientated Tracking System (TOTS) into Thales’ Agile C4I @ Edge (ACE) system to enhance command and control capabilities. This collects, fuses and correlates data from sensors and effectors across the battlespace, providing a common operating picture and accelerating decision-making.

Thales in the UK and L3Harris offer 80 years of combined experience in delivering C4I and ground-based air defence (GBAD) capabilities to the UK, with multi-domain situational awareness capabilities such as MD MSS and TOTS currently in service.
