First AESA combat proven european airborne fire control radar, the RBE2 AESA delivers superior air dominance, agility and resilience in contested environment.

OUR STRENGTHS

  1. Europe's First AESA Radar

Designed for the Rafale, the RBE2 is Europe's first AESA radar to be delivered to the armed forces. Combat-proven aboard the Rafale by the French Air Force, it also equips the Rafale aircraft destined for the Egyptian, Qatari, Indian, Greek, Emirati, Indonesian and Serbian air forces.

  2. Decisive advantage for the Rafale's superiority

Thanks to its agile beam and fast processing speed, the RBE2 AESA radar provides unrivalled tactical situational awareness, with improved detection and tracking of multiple targets.

  3. Mastering air, sea and land space in all circumstances

The RBE2 AESA provides simultaneous all-round detection and tracking, both downwards and upwards, of multiple air targets for close combat and long-range interception of multiple sea or land targets in a cluttered environment, in all weather conditions.

  4. Mapping Beyond Limits

The RBE2 AESA generates real-time three-dimensional maps for terrain tracking. It also generates real-time high-resolution ground maps for navigation and targeting in zero visibility conditions over insufficiently mapped areas.

  5. Extended capabilities to the benefit of Forces

The RBE2 AESA offers extended capabilities including the detection of low-observability targets and the use of weapon systems such as Meteor, greater reliability for reduced maintenance, greater waveform agility for synthetic aperture imaging, and improved resistance to jamming.

  6. A constantly evolving state-of-the-art radar

Designed specifically for the Rafale, the RBE2 AESA radar features software architecture that allows it to evolve in order to anticipate new high-intensity challenges. With eight countries placing their trust in it and more than 150,000 flight hours, the RBE2 AESA is the state-of-the-art European fire control radar.

The RBE2 AESA radar is a very high-performance radar designed for the Rafale omni-role fighter. Developed in close collaboration with Dassault Aviation and the DGA (French Defence Procurement Agency), it meets the expectations of the air force by combining advanced fire control, detection and target tracking capabilities thanks to innovative technologies.
