FEATURES

Thales AFV simulators recreate complex battlefields scenarios involving combat, logistics, and support units across multiple domains. Crews can train with ground vehicles, helicopters, aircraft, UAS, soldiers, and civilians, navigating dynamic environments and interacting with virtual adversaries. This enables trainees to practice tactical decision-making and teamwork under realistic and demanding operational conditions.

The AFV Trainer supports both individual technical training on crew-specific tasks and collective tactical training for full crews, platoons, or larger formations. Depending on training objectives and the required level of fidelity, simulators can be configured with original instrumentation or high-fidelity replicas, matching the look, feel, and functionality of real armored vehicles for a true-to-life experience. They can also be installed in trailers to train in multiple locations in a cost-efficient way.

Powered by the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, Thales AFV simulators immerse crews in highly realistic virtual environments. Features include advanced weather effects, day and night cycles, a wide range of sensor simulations such as forward-looking infrared, and the replication of equipment malfunctions. Smart Computer Generated Forces (CGF) further enhance immersion by displaying realistic behaviors driven by mission objectives, rules of engagement, and situational awareness. The CGF control all friendly, neutral, and enemy forces not managed by humans, enabling complete freedom in scenario creation. This ensures trainees experience the unpredictability and complexity of real-world battlefields.
