Flight plan submission and integrated briefing service through Internet
TopSky - Internet Briefing is the Thales Web-based Pilot Briefing system. It offers an easy and user-friendly access to AIS for external users (i.e. General Aviation Pilots) via standard Internet technologies.
The solution offers the following functions:
Flight Plan submission and status follow-up (IFPS/CFMU status) in real time
Pre-Flight Information Bulletin request (Aerodrome, Area, Route, Narrow Route). It can include NOTAM and MET data within a single bulletin compliant with the integrated briefing concept
Meteorological information access (Could include optionally graphical Met charts)
Airspace data consultation
AIP or any Documentation consultation
Additional services and information can be added to the web site such as e-AIP browsing.
Key advantages
Users activities do not require specific training, as the Internet browser interface is familiar to computer users.
Software maintenance does not require application update distribution because all modifications are performed at the Application Server level.
HMI look and feel can be customized in order to cope with the organization's Web graphical policy
The User interface is user-friendly and supports multi-language.
